Today, I want to share some of my favorite travel makeup products. Traveling is my favorite thing to do, but fitting everything into a small bag can be a challenge. (I would take all of my makeup if I could!) When I travel, I always rely on tried and tested products I know will not disappoint. In fact, I’m slowly getting ready to travel as my partner and I will be spending two weeks in the Canary Islands celebrating our 9-year (!) anniversary. Anniversary. Enjoy today’s selections!
On vacation, I usually skip foundation and let my skin breathe. I typically go for my favorite affordable foundation, BB Creme By Garnier (PS6.65, Superdrug). It is lightweight, easy to use, and provides a surprising amount of coverage (better even than some foundations that I have used). Although it doesn’t last nearly as long as a proper foundation, it is great for traveling. When I feel like doing my full foundation routine on a rare occasion, I use the holy grail. Power Fabric Foundation by Armani (PS42, Debenhams). It gives you an airbrushed finish with a flawless look and has great staying power. (Full review and demo coming soon!) Combine it with NYX HD Studio primer (PS13, Boots). You will be able to wear it all day long.
Waterproof makeup is essential for the eyes. Since my eyes are always watering, I use waterproof makeup every day. This is especially true when traveling. Although I’ve yet to find an eyeliner that is 100% waterproof, this one works well. Rimmel Exaggerate liquid eyeliner (PS5.49, Boots) Is a great price, too. As for mascaras, I’ve been using the Baby Rol Waterproof mascara L’Oreal ( PS7.99, Superdrug I take it everywhere with me. I used to spend PS40 on my favorite every few months. Le Volume Since I discovered this product, I have not used Chanel eyeliner. This is a great dupe. It gives volume and definition and is waterproof. I used it and the Rimmel Eyeliner every day in Portugal while swimming in the ocean, and my eye makeup was still on the whole time!
It’s just not possible to bring all my eyeshadows with me on holiday (I wish!) The palette I tend to use is the Autobalm face palette by TheBalm (PS16.49, Superdrug). This compact palette includes blush, highlighter, and two eyeshadows, one of which is also suitable for eyebrows. As you can see in the picture above, the shades are neutral and easy to work with. I’m particularly fond of highlighter, which, as seen in the photo, is almost gone! I have written a full review. Autobalm, Here is a link to the article. It is a long-time favorite and perfect for travel.
When it comes down to my lips, I only use the lipsticks that I know and trust. YSL Rouge Volupte Shine You can also find out more about the following: 44 Nude Lavalliere (PS26, Debenhams). It is my favorite lip color, and I can’t praise it enough. You can also find out more about the following: The perfect shade of nude – soft, warm, and pale. It gives your lips a ‘yours but much better’ look. It is hydrating and comfortable. At first, it appears glossy, but after a while, the gloss fades, leaving you with a subtle shine. Here is a link to the article ). I love the Lip Lustre Gloss by Charlotte Tilbury. You can also find out more about the following: Seduction (PS16.50 House of Fraser). The shade is beautiful, versatile, and ideal for adding a little extra makeup on the go.
Last but not least, I believe that these Little Round Pot Blushes by Bourjois (PS6.49, Boots) are ideal for traveling. The compact and portable brushes are great for adding a touch of makeup on the move. The blushes are easy to use and smell like heavy powder and roses. There are 18 different shades available in matte and shimmery finishes. Rose Frisson (bottom left), Rose Ambre (top) Santal (bottom right).
On a separate note, I would like to thank all of you for your kind and uplifting comments about my previous post. This means so much to me. As things stand, I’m still waiting for my next scan and am in the dark. But I’m trying to stay positive. Blogging is a wonderful and needed distraction.
